Our Aims
- To provide an inclusive, welcoming environment that respects and promotes diversity and challenges anti-discriminatory practice
- To meet the individual needs of all children; helping them to progress at their own rate, while extending their knowledge, understanding and skills
- To provide a rich, varied environment supporting children’s learning and development; giving them the confidence to explore and learn in a secure, safe, yet challenging indoor and outdoor spaces
- To provide children with a Key Person, giving children the reassurance to feel safe and cared for; also building on-going relationships with their parents
- To have a strong parent partnership
- To use the EYFS framework to help children learn and develop through play
- To encourage children to, and support them, in forming effective relationships with other children and adults
- To provide a wide range of resources, activities and opportunities to broaden children’s experiences and awareness of the world around them
- To provide opportunities for, and support children in self-care; helping them to gain a sense of self-respect and concern about their own personal hygiene and care. As well as supporting the development of independent skills.
- To build relationships with local schools, and other settings, to ease future transitions
- To support and develop every child to become secure, confident, imaginative and creative
- To make our pre-school a ‘fun place to be’
